Services

Architect is mainly concerned with the design & planning of buildings - including renovation, refurbishment, re-design and new build. Some may specialise in the conservation of old buildings, or environmental science of buildings etc.

Architectural Technician will draw up plans and elevations as specified by the architect.

Building Surveyor is concerned with technical aspects & the condition of buildings.

Graphic Designer is concerned with taking information and presenting it in an informative and visually imaginative way i.e. leaflets, posters, newsletters and logos.

Interior Designer is concerned with the design of internal spaces, their decoration & furnishing.

Landscape Architect is concerned with the design & planning of the external environment - this may involve 'soft' landscape (vegetation, trees, plants) and 'hard' landscape (play areas, paved areas, streetscapes) etc.

Land Surveyor/Site Analyst carries out in depth surveys of sites & land, including geological issues (of particular relevance in mining and / or polluted areas).

Planner is concerned with the planning of all environmental issues at a strategic level.

Planning Supervisor is concerned with construction design and management in the context of Health & Safety issues.

Quantity Surveyor is usually responsible for all aspects of costing & budget control of construction projects, as well as project management.

Structural Engineer is concerned with structural stability of existing & proposed structures.

Urban Designer is concerned with the planning & design of the built environment on a macro scale - how villages & towns can be made to work better.
