About the
Agoriad Project
CDG, the Newport based design
charity received funding for three years from the National
Lottery Charities Board to establish the Agoriad Project.
This is a national database of community designers -
architects, surveyors, planners, graphic designers and
landscape architects, who are able to offer their
professional design services to community and voluntary
organisations, looking for help with their particular design
project.
As well as establishing the
national database, the Agoriad Project has organised a
programme of training for both the voluntary sector and
professional designers - covering issues such as funding,
community design, community participation and best practice.
A training manual is also being prepared for use by
voluntary agencies.
